Many professional doll makers offer online tips and tutorials. These sites are all good references for beginners to study a wide variety of techniques.

1. Dana Burton Miniature Art

Dana Burton of Miniature art runs The Mini Doll List as well as Mini Doll U . There are lots of free tutorials and free back issues of an e zine with articles on fabrics, costumes, wigging, even remaking Breyer Horses for doll scenes.

3. Laurie Sisson/ The Foot

Laurie Sisson has several tutorials on how to paint various shoes on blank feet.
