Mark the position of the ribbons

Use a pencil to mark the position you want your ribbons to be in on the board, usually they are laid out in a diamond pattern.

Drill Holes For Your Sewing Needle Use a fine drill or a nail to punch holes through your chipboard or cardboard base in the center of any places where your ribbons will cross. Make sure you drill a generous sized hole for your needle to pass through. Do not make your holes to small, the hole will not be visible when the board is finished.
