Guide Review - Review of Miniature Collector Magazine
Miniature Collector is a monthly magazine readily available from newstands in North America. Celebrating its 30th year of publication in 2008, the magazine is focussed on collectibles and recent artisan productions, and it has more of a collector and sales focus than many similar magazines.
Regular columnists are featured, along with at least one project, and increasingly often, a page of printables. Issues rarely focus on a particular theme, and the coverage within each issue ranges widely. It can be a good source of American themed projects, and it is filled with photographs, although the busy layout and often dark photographs can be distracting.
Miniature Collector is published by Scott Publications and is available in the United States by an annual subscription ($39.95 inside the U.S. $63.95 outside the U.S. ) The website has a useful index of articles in back issues.
