These braided rugs are simple to make as mats or full size traditional country style rugs or as smaller mats for chair seats. Made in full size from salvaged fabrics, similar color mixes can be created in dolls house scale using variegated embroidery floss.
The round mat above uses approximately two yards (meters) of braid made from three full strands (6 threads) of embroidery floss. This particular rug is made from variegated yellow, blue and multicolored embroidery floss.
