Cut out your pieces For a full size cracker you will base your measurements on covering your center roll at least 1 1/2 times, plus the width you want your cracker to be.
For each cracker in 1:12 scale you will need to cut out the following pieces:
- 1/4 to 1/2 inch lengths of bamboo skewer (0.6 to 1.2 cm) For a set of crackers make all the pieces the same length. This will represent an eight to twelve inch real cracker
- 1 1/2 by 1 inch pieces of paper, foil or ribbon (3.7 by 2.5 cm) for the cracker covering. The long side of the paper will lay the direction of the cracker if your paper has a pattern direction.
- Two inch lengths of ribbon (5 cm) cut into narrow shredded strips of less than 1/16 inch.(1 mm)
- Small cut out or punched pieces of decorated tape, ribbon or decorative paper trims if desired, to decorate the centre of the cracker.
