Fold the Sides of the Swirly Tree

Fold the acetate sheet sharply along the stitching line so the four sides of the tree stand away evenly from the tree center. When you have creased the folds crisply, trim the tree to shape, cutting just outside the line of the branches leaving about 1/8 inch of acetate on the outside of each branch line.

Trim the base of the acetate sheet squarely across the bottom of the tree and make sure the tree stands square and does not collapse to one side.
