Printable Christmas Tree Skirts in a Range of Sizes
These printable miniature designs for Christmas Tree Skirts in 1:6, 1:12, 1:24 and 1:48 dolls house scale can be used with paper or with fabric to make skirts that will fit Christmas trees. The larger 1:6 scale skirt will fit small feather trees and other normal Christmas trees as well.
To Make the Christmas Tree Skirts
Choose a scale and print out the pdf (acrobat reader file) design you want onto printable fabric, like the EQ printable Cotton Lawn for Ink Jets making sure you choose a fabric weight that will drape properly around the base of your tree. You can use regular PVA glue to keep the edges from fraying, or treat the edges with fraycheck. You can also print the designs on regular printer paper and back them with foil, to get the effect of a draped fabric, or you can use the crumpled paper technique to make your paper look like fabric as well.
To fit the tree skirt to your tree, you can slip the tree from it's holder and place the tree skirt over the tree base, or you can slit the tree skirt on the back edge and hold it around the base of the tree with repositionable glue along the seam, or with museum wax.
