Make the Base for a Ribbon Threaded Kissing Ball

Small piece of reindeer moss is wrapped around a piece of tied ribbon just below the bow.

If you prefer your kissing ball to look like it has a bow on the top and ribbon ends coming out of the bottom, first tie a fine scale ribbon into a standard bow loop with long ends. Make sure the bow knot is tied tightly.

Add a drop of glue to the center of a piece of reindeer moss, and form a reindeer moss ball around the ribbon ends, just below the bow. Roll the moss around the ribbon to form a rough ball, making sure the bow stays right on the top of the ball shape.

Set aside to dry.
