The same glaze pens that work well to create miniature stained glass windows for dolls houses, Christmas village buildings and model railroads can also be used to create a stained glass effect for miniature Christmas ornaments.

The ornaments in the photo shown are small pierced metal beads which are a suitable size for a 1:12 scale Christmas tree. They have been colored using Sakura Glaze Pens to match the color scheme for a particular setting. Using several coats of the glaze pen (allow the coats to dry before adding a new one) will fill in the pierced holes and give a stained glass effect to small metal ornaments.

You can also achieve this effect by dipping pierced metal beads in nailpolish, or colored white (PVA)glue, then leaving the beads to dry.
