When you have the table assembled, measure it to determine the shelf size you need. If you occasionally need a larger table you can cut extra cross members and a shelf in a second width.
Preparing to photography your miniatures - To assemble the photography table for use, slot both main cross braces into the notches on the base of one side piece, then slot the opposite side piece into the cross braces. Use one of the auxiliary braces across the top of the back to hold a sweep, or use one at the front and the back to hold fabric above and on both sides of your subject in front of your lights for a light box.
Set the shelf supports into the same holes on all four corners in order to support a level shelf, or put the back supports one notch up to tilt the shelf /table surface for a better angle of your miniature.
Backdrops - Clip a photographic back drop behind your subject or cut a piece of art paper to fit between the sides, and clip it to the back top cross support to create a curved sweep over the table surface. Set up your lights on either side (or from underneath) and you are in business.
