Josephine's bears soon evolved into families which moved into dolls houses. "Once I had started going to Bear Fairs and was making lots of mini Bears, I realized that I missed the dressing of dolls a lot. I tried to find a nice porcelain doll that I could buy and dress but couldn't find a nice doll at an affordable price. As I was already attending Bear Fairs I developed a Bear that could be dressed and would be able to live in a dolls house as well. My enjoyment of the dressing was satisfied and I had developed a new item that worked well. I have since realized that my true passion lies with the historical costuming side of things."
