Jill studied theatre design at the Wimbledon School of Art and at the Slade School of Fine Art in London. Her theatrical interests led to a life long study of historical clothing and social history. Jill's period doll costumes are exactingly researched and reproduced. Her website section on Dolls in Period Dress is a valuable resource for anyone interested in period dress from the fifteenth through the 20th century. The detail of her costumes adds greatly to the viewer's sense of time and background which seems to surround her tiny creations.
