A doll should be much more than a face or a dress mannequin. Jill works in porcelain, but has developed a unique 1:12 scale doll body which allows for careful positioning. She brings into the final creation her attention to detail in manners of scale, historical dress, and social period as well as the dedication of an artist to capturing the core of her characters. All aspects of the finished doll are at an outstanding level and all the important details are carefully designed to contribute to a whole.

Jill works entirely in porcelain and states that she cannot work in polymer clay at all. A sable brush and a good pin are my best tools! A mug of water, of course, and fine knife as well. She recommends beginners find something your fingers like! to work in as a medium.

For those just starting out she suggests Keep looking a people. Get the scale you want right. And just go for it with love!
