More miniature baking for the Ninth Day of Christmas. Today's project is one to make miniature ruffled rose cupcakes. These make adorable beads for necklaces or earrings as well as pastries or the dolls' house, and the toppings can be made separately and used to decorate tiny wedding or shower cakes.
The basic cupcakes are easily made using a simple miniature cupcake mold which you can make to suit your favorite dollhouse scale. I tend to make large batches of these basic cupcakes or muffins so I have some ready on hand whenever I decide to add seasonal pastries to dollhouse scenes or make delectable looking beads for earrings and necklaces. Make them with lower tops if you want to add detailed 'icings' or fruit toppings.
