I've made simple versions of trees made from pine cone scales in miniature. They look adorable beside printable miniature glitter houses. They also make a nice combination under a mirror with a driftwood wreath surround.
Like many miniatures, the trick to reducing the size of these is to use the right materials. The trees shown here are made from paint and kraft paper.
