How to Choose Eyes for Miniature Dolls and Tiny BJD's

To choose eyes for miniature doll sculpts or tiny ball joint dolls you need to do a bit of thinking about how your doll is made, how often you want to change the doll's gaze, how old you want the doll to appear, or how you intend to sculpt your figure. Eyes come in several materials and with different shapes, to allow them to be fitted into a wide range of doll types.

You might think only glass eyes can withstand the temperatures needed to bake polymer clay sculpts but there are acrylic and soft glass or silicone eyes which can also take these temperatures. Eye styles can also be chosen to suit how often you change your doll's expression (if this is a ball joint doll) or to use for other purposes (sleeping eyes, fantasy eyes).
