In many areas its time to plant miniature flowering bulbs for next spring's display. Even though the weather may still seem like summer, these little beauties need to be in the ground developing their root systems for next spring. Even a balcony or a small pot can produce a great show of tiny flowers, many suitable for bringing indoors once the root systems and flowers are established. The best time to get started is when bulbs are freshly available in your area.

Do you keep digging up odd little bulbs as you plant new ones? Have you forgotten what you planted last year, or found a few bulbs in a pot you were going to throw out? Here's some more information on flowering bulbs to help you sort out what is in your garden already.
