Most people get started with miniatures when they start making smaller items in their regular hobby, or when they view a miniature of something they work on in full size at a club show or online. In the world of miniatures there is truly something for everyone, as everything you can do in full size, someone is trying to do in miniature.

Stay tuned for more ways to start a new miniature hobby, and if miniatures aren't your style, I'll also be posting links to many of the other hobby channels in the About.com network. For a start, you could look into model trains as a hobby or perhaps Making Jewelry or Painting are more in your area.
