The book Knitted Gardens by Jan Messent is a classic resource for anyone looking for ways to make quick scale knitting projects with a garden theme. Their size and range makes the projects ideal for a club. You can each make a small section and combine them for a great raffle project or item for a bazaar, and as a group, you can collect a wide range of leftover yarns to make a unique art piece.
These projects use regular double knitting yarns and size 7 (US) or 4mm needles so they aren't miniature knitting as such. They are suitable for toys, as unique additions to a dolls house, or collectible pieces for a friend's garden room. Instructions are given for everything from dolls, to greenhouses, animals, plant pots and cottages, as well as pillows and throws.
