Miniaturists have to be adaptable. Knowing how to manipulate materials to resemble other things is a big advantage. This technique for embossing or tooling paper or metal foil is about to be put to use in my quarter scale shop as a way to mimic traditional metal ceiling tiles.
I've used the same technique to make embossed foil backs for miniature hair brushes and toiletry jars, and the technique makes some great looking stained glass or small scale faux enamel as well. I've included links to some printable ceiling tiles in four scales along with the technique for embossing paper or metal.
You can also use the technique to emboss the Printable Dad Card if you need a quick printable card for Father's Day Down Under.

I love your blog! Thank you.
