If you've ever been lucky enough to meet Angie Scarr at a class or miniature show, you know how enthusiastic she is about coming up with methods to make miniature foods as realistic as possible from polymer clay. In her new book Miniature Food Masterclass - materials and techniques for model-makers, she shares her successes, revisions to her methods and her enthusiasm for new materials and techniques. This is a great companion book to her earlier classic Making Miniature Food and Market Stalls
The techniques she demonstrates here mainly involve careful color blends and detailed caning techniques, along with uses of molds and liquid polymer clay. If you want wonderful fruit or vegetables for your miniature displays or need tiny pies or jars of preseves this is an excellent reference for your bookshelf, and really does feel like a masterclass you can take at home.
