There are many times in making miniatures from wood when you need a particular curve.Luckily there are some easy ways to make this happen. One of the simplest is an adjustable plank forming jig that bends heated strip wood into a curve you set with tightened bolts. If you're tired of fighting with coffee cans, light bulbs or hair curlers to shape your wood, you might want to look into a plank forming jig.

Once you have a way to easily curve wood, you'll be surprised what projects begin to appeal. Curved fence panels, round trim on settees, perhaps a tiny dingy for the cottage. Curving wood in miniature is much less arduous than it is in full scale.
