Sew a Miniature Hippopotamus from Felt

Friday January 2, 2009

If you know someone who wants a hippopotamus for Christmas, there is still time. Today is the ninth day of Christmas, and this three inch felt hippo won't take three days or much money to make! As shown here the pattern makes a three inch hippopotamus, but after a practise one you can make them smaller to use as regular size toys in a dolls house nursery.

With only two main pattern pieces these are a good way to introduce someone to making stuffed toys. There is a minimal amount of sewing, and the end result is very cute!
