Stitching Chart for a Dolls House Scale Lamb

Sunday December 28, 2008

Want to count some sheep this holiday? On day four of the twelve days of Christmas you can use this lamb needlework chart to make tiny sheep for tiny pillows, or make a flock to go on a nursery bedspread.

This particular needlework chart lends itself to combined techniques. You can stitch only the outline on a white background, or use a colored background and fill the stitching in with loose French knots as I've done here to make the lamb a bit more woolly. Stitched on 32 count linen this lamb is under 1 inch square, a good size for a small pillow in a dolls house nursery, and he'll match yesterday's nursery wallpaper!
