Scenic Accents Moveable Glue

Thursday November 27, 2008

Many of you love Moveable Miniatures Glue for securing your miniatures temporarily in place, but have written me recently to tell me it is difficult to find. Woodland Scenics make a similar product called Scenic Accents. This is much easier to find, but not quite as strong, at least in my tests.

Why use a moveable glue? It helps keeps small items in place on a shelf or a display, keeping them from being knocked over, but allowing you to pick them up and replace them without leaving a blob of glue or wax behind. It lets you hold those pesky tiny N or micro scale details in position while you decide where they will go permanently, keeping them from falling over or flying away as you work on a scene. I use it to hold miniatures in acrylic cases, if the case gets knocked, the miniature will be safely held in place. You can see a layer of it on the bottom of the tin next to the glue bottle. It isn't very noticeable, but it holds small items secure. Useful stuff, especially for Christmas village displays!
