Kruger Roomboxes In Lincoln Schools

Here's a great collaboration to celebrate National Miniatures Month. The Kruger Collection at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, have combined forces with Lincoln, NE public schools to send out a travelling exhibit entitled Little Nooks From Great Books, an exhibit of six roomboxes based on popular children's books. What a great way to jump start the imagination and share the museum's resources.

The theme rooms being toured through the schools include The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe and Harry Potter. They will be travelling to seven public schools between now and June 2009. If you can't get to the Kruger collection in person they have a wonderful online gallery to inspire you. Hopefully their travelling exhibit will inspire some young miniaturists, and encourage clubs, collectors and school districts to do something similar in more locations!
