Make Hands for Miniature Dolls

Wednesday April 23, 2008

Sculpting miniature people isn't hard if you pay attention to the proportions of various body parts. Hands often look wrong on dolls if they weren't made for a particular head. The head sets the proportions for the entire body, and makes the figure look correctly sized. Hands need to match head proportions in order to look right. If you need hands to hold a weapon, hold reins, hold a book, rock a cradle, try making your own to match a doll. A little practise and you will be creating hands that are a lot more than the paddles some poor dolls have.
