Classic Painted Furniture Finishes for Miniatures

Friday April 4, 2008

Creative people always want something a little bit different. If you have a group of pleasing, but mismatched furniture pieces you would like to pull together for a project, you may want to try these three classic painted finishes. They even allow you to cheat at carving by adding details with gesso or Acrylic Mediums. The most important point is that they mimic traditional antique finishes. Now your resin kit furniture can match your more detailed almost artisan wood furniture. Practise on some odd bits of wood first to get used to the technique. You can even turn everything shabby chic if you like. It is so much easier when it takes a few minutes to prep and paint furniture than when it takes days for an entire piece!
