Brighten the Spring with Glory of the Snow, Chionodoxa forbesii

Wednesday April 2, 2008

This bright blue or pink flowering miniature bulb covers the ground in many areas as soon as snow melts. Easy to grow, it is a great groundcover for your rockery or under deciduous shrubs. Even better, this is one of those miniature bulbs that self seeds and increases without invading. If you see some, take a closer look, and mark your fall calendar to plant some bulbs! This is a sure sign spring is here to stay.
