I love Italian food, especially the types that are authentic and made by loving hands with fresh ingredients. Angela Gagliardi of Cosediunaltro Mondo in Milan makes authentic regional Italian foods in 1:12 and 1:24 scale for miniature scenes. Angela's work is amazing, not just in the detail and the texture, but also in the way she arranges tables of food to tell a story of the people who you imagine are creating it. This is a truly gifted miniature artisan whose specialized work is highly collectible. When you look at Angela's work, make sure you click on all the photos to enlarge them. Look for the signs of the character who works at that particular table.

Even if you don't think you will ever need these types of miniatures for a scene, you can learn a lot from studying how experts can lay out a storyline. After you've viewed Angela's work, read How to Display Miniatures, Choosing a Theme and a Story Line then take a look at your last miniature display and see if you can improve it with a small addition, or a rearrangement of how your eye moves into the scene.

If you want to be notified when more profiles of talented artisans are added to the miniatures site you can:
